Lookin' Hot...Granny Style!

So, Friday night Amanda, Raven, and I went to Savers (basically a Salvation Army). While browsing, we came across the most amazing dresses ever! They are so horrid. :) Well, we thought it would be great to get one for each of us (and Olive) to wear to church. ...Yes, we actually did do this. It was fun, though my dress was pretty much completely made of polyester, so a bit uncomfortable. And the top is short and the skirt kept falling down, which was dang annoying!

Haha, so yes, I do realize I am not good at posing as an old lady...but it was the best I could do! For some reason the crippled hands just seemed to fit.

Meet Phil. Phil is this grotesquely ugly chair. Amanda and I bought him for only $13! And he is quite comfortable. We named him Phil and have become pretty attached to him. :) Phil looks especially good with Amanda sitting in his lap in that old dress!!

  1. You are beginning to have furniture boyfriends? Alright girls.... time for REAL boyfriends! You are just some hot girls hiding beneath shoulder pads, bifocals, and wrinkly panty hose. Show the world what you've got! haha

  3. I actually like that chair, although I do have two pink charis.
And I'd have to agree with Amber, you should probably try spending time with real boys.

  4. Nathan says he's disappointed, they aren't nearly as frumpy as he expected. And I'll add that except for the white one, my mom and her friends have more than a few of those hiding in their closets.

  5. I like the chair as well. It looks like it would've machted our first couch that was given to us. The only thing different was our couch had a nice wood trim. Even the colors of the fabric look the same though.

What are you going to dress up as next week for church?

  6. I like the chair too, but it's a bit too mustard for me. And Nath, I think you wouldn't be so disappointed if you could check out my shoulder pads! They extended seriously an extra 2-3 inches from both of my shoulders...They were huge!

And Jonny...I don't think I'll do something like this for a while. Once a year is good for me...remember the hair last year? Oh my goodness.
